Cutting Edge treatment for Burns

Physical beauty has always been important for all women, we want a perfect shape, figure and appearance, but we all have weaknesses and no one's perfect. Mishaps and terrible situations occur in lives which directly affect our beauty and in turn confidence. Like the famous story which was covered globally about the young model Katie who became victim of acid attack in 2008, her face and body was burned horrifically and her hopes were shattered until Dr Jawad performed a series of successful cutting edge operations to rebuild her face and body and return her life back. Another girl Sara was 23 when her husband and in-laws burned her with acid due to a family issue. She survived but her beauty and looks were gone, her face was like a piece of hanging meat, in such a small age her life was a mess until she consulted Dr Jawad at Nip n Tuck Clinic.

Burns can be categorized into many branches; they range from minor ones to life threatening emergencies. Many of us get minor burns after every few days while cooking, ironing clothes or touching hot object accidently. Life threatening burns are dangerous, they can occur due to many mishaps like if anyone is caught in fire or become victims of acid attacks or get caught with electric shock. At times children's get caught accidently with hot liquids which become too dangerous for them. These are life threatening and if the victim survives his whole appearance and feature changes, there is a rapid need to consult someone who specializes in the field and can bring her hope of life and survival back.

Burns are of 4 types; first, second, third and fourth degree. First degree burns are minor burns which occur commonly and only affect the outer skin which then becomes red and pains. It makes the area dry and takes 3-5 days to heal after which the injured epithelium peels away and is replaced by the new healthy skin. Second degree burns are a bit of higher level burns, they can be of partial thickness or full thickness. Partial thickness ones can bring blisters on skin; they effect the upper level of dermis and the entire epidermis. The wounds are wet and painful and are mostly pink or red in color. There healing time is of about 10-21 days before the healthy skin reappears. The full thickness ones are red or white in color and seem to be very dry; they destroy the whole epidermis and most of the dermis while the sensations are present. To heal these burns skin grafting has to be done or there is a need for excision.

Third degree burns is the one where all the layers of the skin is destroyed and burns have gone beyond fatty tissues in the skin. The affected area becomes black or white and very dry; there are no sensations and pain felt on the skin. Fourth degree burns are full thickness burns which even enter into muscles and bones. His survival becomes tough. Dr Jawad has treatment for these serious burns.

In few cases if the burns are not treated wisely they can lead to many complications like infections, or the skin is open to all sought of bacterial infections which could lead to life threatening diseases like sepsis, scarring, scars and keloids, bone and joint problems or movement of joint and bones can be limited. It is always best to consult Dr Jawad before any such mishap occurs and a burn transforms into a deadly disease. Commonly to treat minor burns pain relievers, burn creams, antibiotics, tetanus shots and other medicines are given. If the burn is in a large area at times physical therapy is needed to stretch the skin and make joints flexible and improve the muscle strength and coordination. With major burns surgical procedures are conducted with series of operations and skin procedures to return back the appearance. They include skin grafting and reconstruction procedures.
